The IDG Events team is hiring a Client Services Specialist for our busy and growing US events portfolio. Our client success team provides turnkey support for all event sponsors, serving as an internal champion for these customers and ensuring they have a positive experience with us. Strong communication skills, an optimistic outlook and creative problem solving abilities are essential as you serve on the front lines with those who support our business.

Responsibilities include providing all post-contract services such as:

  • Complete project management for solo-sponsored events and chief client liaison for multi-sponsored events
  • Creation of and management to an event timeline
  • Regular communication with client by phone/Zoom and email on deliverables and milestones
  • Management of client expectations, containment of scope creep
  • Trafficking of client assets
  • Instruction on how client can optimize experience in virtual event platform
  • Delivery of post-event results/analytics
  • Participation as needed in event delivery processes
  • Management to any team KPIs
  • Assistance with client intent to renew
  • Willingness to travel when in-person events resume


  • 3+ years in a sales or post-sales environment working with clients
  • The ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written formats
  • The ability to think on your feet and problem-solve as challenges arise
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A willingness to go the extra mile for clients and the team
  • Flexibility and adaptability – the events world can be volatile!
