YOUR ROLE
Award-winning, Chicago-based, experiential marketing agency is seeking an experienced, solution-oriented Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor (AS) for a premier spirits client to support best-in-class marketing programs.
Qualified candidates possess superior communication and time management skills and an accomplished background in client-service. Candidates should also have experience working cross-functionally within an agency setting as the role requires working closely with our analytics and creative departments.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concept develop, manage and implement all aspects of programming – specializing in events, as well as, on and off-premise activations
- Familiar with creating client facing activation decks/presentations
- Lead client communications including emails, calls and in-person meetings
- Work, contract, negotiate, and manage payments with vendors including décor companies, caterers, production/AV, hotels, restaurants, live music venues, etc.
- Lead strategy, KPI and program development, and execution of multifaceted trade and consumer programs
- Manage, mentor and lead the development and growth of your team
- Partner with internal team and clients to create programming, drive sales, and interpret data trends and gain measurable results
- Provide vision and leadership within the agency
- Provide access to and knowledge of the latest trends, pop culture and technology in credible and tangible ways that add value to agency and clients
- Bring concepts to life in a unique way that sets us apart from other agencies and exceeds client expectations
- Tap into and align consumer/customer passion points, lifestyles and interests with brand experiences
- Inspire and gain confidence of clients and agency staff; develop strategic relationships that further the business
- Partner with client services, creative and business development teams to identify new revenue opportunities
- Showcase exceptional communications and presentation skills to sell-in big ideas and programs to reinforce credibility
- Develop and manage budgets; ensure budget and legal compliance parameters are upheld
Requirements
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 4-8 years professional, relevant agency experience, preferably working with spirits, beer or wine on-premise, off-premise and event programs
- 3-6 years of live, in-person event experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Communications or Marketing preferred)
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder; thrives in a team dynamic
- Strategic problem solver and decision maker
- Keen attention to detail and extremely organized
- Strong people manager with a proven history of strategy development;
- Flawless execution and exceptional client service
- Exceptional time management skills
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Some travel required (up to 50%), with the ability to work nontraditional evening and weekend hours
- Must have driver’s license and be comfortable driving various cars, vans and trucks
- Able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs
