Job Summary The Associate Director, Sponsorships plays a leadership role in managing event sponsorship strategy, execution, and partner relationships. Reporting to senior leadership, this position oversees sponsor management for large-scale events and serves as a primary point of contact for key advertising partners. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of sponsorship activations while delivering best-in-class client service.
This is a hybrid work position.
Key Responsibilities Partner with the Sponsorships team on presale strategy, sponsorship acquisition support, and partner ideation Serve as the day-to-day lead and trusted contact for key sponsors and top advertisers Lead planning, coordination, and onsite execution of sponsor activations Anticipate client needs and proactively manage challenges with solution-oriented decision-making Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to respond to RFPs and develop strategic event proposals and sales materials Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless sponsor integration across events and touchpoints
Requirements
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Experience: 7+ years of experience in event marketing, sponsorship management, or special events, preferably in media, agency, or publishing environments
Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of experiential marketing and event production processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage senior-level stakeholders Client-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills Highly organized with strong project management capabilities Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure Collaborative and self-directed work style Flexible schedule with ability to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed
