Wohali Golf Course, located in Coalville, UT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Membership Sales and Events Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.General Purpose:
The Membership Sales & Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the membership program, including membership sales, developing and attending membership activities, management of member communications, and events/outing sales and management. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
Essential Duties:
- This position requires a professional, outgoing, and positive attitude towards our members, guests, and employees while being able to manage difficult situations from time to time.
- Responsible for meeting monthly and annual Country Club revenue goals as assigned by driving new memberships, golf and racquet sports tournaments, weddings, catering, and other food events.
- Act as main point of contact for all members' social events, including creating all event orders, event marketing, invitations, menu selection, RSVP's, billing coordination and onsite representative.
- Responsible for creating and executing a quarterly sales action plan and meeting sales activity goals.
- Responsible for working with the General Manager in creating the annual budget and business plan, including but not limited to creating a social activity calendar for membership.
- Works with the General Manager to create membership sales collateral.
- Responsible for communicating regularly with the membership for events and happenings.
- Responsible for managing the Country Club websites, with the General Manager, and keeping all information up to date.
- Required to attend all membership functions sponsored by the Club.
- Serves as management representative on member-run committees.
- Administrative lead on member events such as golf tournaments and individual member events with responsibilities that include creation of event orders, coordination and communication with the Executive Chef, Culinary team, Club Food & Beverage Department management and staff, RSVP management, and billing.
- Act as primary owner for all member website duties; responsibilities include updating and creation of online content, distribution of communications, tracking member activity, and collecting member feedback.
- Creates and distributes all regular member correspondence, including but not limited to: Monthly Member Newsletter, Club announcements, and seasonal procedural updates.
- Maintains complete understanding of membership categories, sales processes, and new member enrollment processes.
- Assists in onboarding of all new members with new member announcements and orientation information.
- Maintains electronic member databases and hard files. Creates and maintains accurate and efficient filing systems.
- Prepares monthly membership reports.
- Serves as initial point of contact for many members' and prospective members' questions, providing accurate and efficient information to build strong membership relationships, improve member satisfaction, and promote the overall club.
- Performs various administrative duties, including operating key office machines such as computers, calculators, a fax machine, and copiers.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Maintains adequate inventory of membership sales kits and various Club and Membership notices and information.

- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Attend all management required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Troon and Sunnyside Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the club.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.
- Comply with Troon Golf and Sunnyside Golf and Country Club regulations to encourage safe and efficient club operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc., from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Must be able to cross-train in other club-related areas.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Education & Experience:
- College graduate.
- 3-5 years of club sales, catering sales, and event management or golf club experience preferable
- Golf knowledge, preferably.
- Computer proficiency, including website maintenance and organic social media content creation.
- Strong command of English writing skills.
- Strong customer service and satisfaction skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Physical requirements:
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Able to lift, pull, push, or carry 25 pounds, occasionally.
- Able to stand or sit for long hours.
Other Qualifications:
- Jonas Club Management Software, Golf Genius, USGA GHIN Handicap System, Point of Sale, Google sites or equivalent Club system knowledge is preferred.
- Tournament Operations experience is helpful.
- Creative writing ability with previous experience in hospitality or club environment and a comfort level with graphic design is preferred.
- Proficient on Social Media platforms; experience with advertising and organic content creation preferred.
